IWMD 2024 - Remember Those Driven To Suicide By Callous Bosses

Every year across the World and across the UK, Trade Unions, the TUC, and health & safety organisations such as Hazards Campaign, come together to pool resources and to 'Remember the Dead - Fight for the living' as we honours those who have had their lives taken by incompetent and uncaring employers.

But the official figures in the UK of deaths caused by work, ignores completely those who have lost their lives by their own hands - driven by work to suicide!

With the HSE refusing to even consider that work-related suicide actually exists, it is down to us all to honour our lost loved ones whose work pressures, and uncaring employers; sent them into a spiral of desperation they could see no way out of, exceopt to end their lives.

This year's International Workers Memorial Day on 28th April 2024 on Merseyside, WILL remember our loved ones who took their own lives, and continue the fight to have official figures and the HSE who complies them to recognise the true toll that work has on the lives of far too many working people.

As we stand in a minute silence to think of those we have lost, on 28th April in the North West, and many of our public buildings are lit up in Purple to mark the day, those of us unable to attend a public rememberance service, can light up this candle for one minute and pay our respects to those we have lost through the neglect of their employer.
